Greater Lincolnshire Countryside

Lincolnshire is one of England’s largest and least populated counties, so it’s not surprising that there are lots of beautiful wide open spaces to enjoy. The county has varied landscapes, from the rolling Lincolnshire Wolds in the north to the low-lying fens in the south, not to mention the Lincoln Edge, a long limestone ridge which runs from Stamford through Lincoln all the way north almost to the Humber. Lincoln Cathedral sits on the very highest point of the Lincoln Edge, so no wonder you can see it from miles around.

Lincolnshire has some beautiful countryside and miles of waterways, so it’s perfect for outdoor pursuits such as walking, cycling, boating, angling and even modern pastimes such as geocaching!
