The Lincolnshire Show is held on the county’s showground just outside the city on the third Wednesday and Thursday of June. Packed with stalls and exhibitions, the show’s roots are agricultural, which means there are always plenty of livestock and produce shows and both vintage and modern farm machinery. There are also plenty of opportunities to shop and enjoy Lincolnshire produce too.

Since the 1970s the Lincoln CAMRA Beer Festival has celebrated real ales from across the UK at the Drill Hall. A very popular event in the city’s annual social calendar, the festival is held in May every year across a long weekend.

Held in the first week of October each year, the Lincoln Comedy Festival lasts just over a week and is responsible for attracting local and national talent to various venues across the city.

The Lincoln Book Festival is held in the city at the end of September each year. The week-long event is committed to marking and celebrating the rich historical heritage of the city. Each evening during the event is dedicated to a different theme, changing every year, and various venues host speakers.

Lincolnshire Sausage Festival celebrates one of the most famous of the county’s products and is held at the end of October in Lincoln Castle each year. As well as stalls selling the famous sausage, there are sausage-making demonstrations and local chefs demonstrating recipes, amongst other stalls and activities.
