Skegness was listed among the top ten most popular holiday destinations in 2013 by VisitEngland and offers an abundance of attractions including Skegness Pier, Botton’s Pleasure Beach fun fair, the Embassy Theatre, Jolly Roger Crazy Golf and Natureland Seal Sanctuary, which is well known for rescuing orphaned and injured seals which find themselves stranded on the county’s beaches.
Toddlers will love the Fairy Dell paddling pool near the boating lake on the southern foreshore, while thrill seekers can get their kicks on the Millennium rollercoaster at Fantasy Island theme park in nearby Ingoldmells.
Ingoldmells is also home to Butlins and Splash Waterworld which opened in 2013. Further up the coast at Chapel St Leonards Lakeside Leisure is a haven for anglers. As well as fishing at the well-stocked lake visitors can hire motorboats and quad bikes or even play crazy golf.
